In starting their new venture, Mathew and Karris Mattox were influenced by comments from Mathew’s late father, Mike Mattox.

Dealing with his own illness, the elder Mattox, a Council Bluffs firefighter for a quarter of a century, told them that life is short and that they should follow their dream.

    Nice place; forward looking concept for CB, but a bit overpriced: $1.99 for an

    The caramels sound wonderful! In fact everything sounds great. Can't wait for this bakery to open. Yum!

    Woohoo! Have been waiting for this place to open; happy the time is also here. Also, love that the proceeds from their caramel turtles will benefit cancer research -- sign me up!
