Mary Ellen McMullen, age 53, of Council Bluffs, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at her home with her family.

She was born April 29,

1960, in Council Bluffs to

Paul and Arlene Swanson

Nansel and graduated from

Abraham Lincoln High

School in 1978.

Mary Ellen worked for

Mutual of Omaha for 24

years and later at Southwest

Foot and Ankle.

She was preceded in death

by her father, Paul Nansel;

and sister, Diane Nansel.

Survivors include husband,

Mark McMullen whom

she married on April 6, 1996;

son, Brendyn; and daughter,

Marly; mother, Arlene

Nansel, all Council Bluffs;

brothers, Roger Nansel, of

Omaha and Larry Nansel

and wife, Shawna, of West

Chester, Pa.; nieces, nephews;

and mother and fatherin-

law, Kay and Ken

McMullen, of Council Bluffs.

Visitation Friday, 5 p.m. to

8 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 10

a.m., all at Cutler-O’Neill-

Meyer-Woodring Bayliss

Park Chapel, Pastor E. Jon

Benson, officiant. Interment

Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed

by reception at the

Walnut Hill Reception Center.

Family will direct memorials.
