NonpareilOnline.com and Mangelsen’s are again partnering to offer the ultimate Halloween costume competition, the “Who’s Your Favorite Ghoul?” Costume Contest.

First, contestants of all ages are encouraged to have their photo taken while they are decked out in their favorite Halloween outfit. Or photos can be from a recent Halloween season. One costume per photo is allowed.

Next, log on to NonpareilOnline.com or Mangelsens2.com and look for the contest links to submit an entry. There is no fee to enter the contest. Submissions begin Sunday, Sept. 26, and continue through the end of the contest. But submit your photo early as voting begins on Friday, Oct. 1.

Have friends and family members vote daily for your entry. Voters are allowed to cast five votes per day per e-mail address. There is no fee to vote.

Voting concludes at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21.

The entrant with the most votes in each of four categories – boy and girl (ages infant to 13) and man and woman (ages 14 and up) – will receive Mangelsen’s gift cards. First place winners will receive $125 gift cards, while second- and third-place finishers will receive $75 and $50 gift cards, respectively.

The store, located at 3457 S. 84th St. in Omaha’s Westgate Plaza, has been nicknamed “Manghoulsen’s” for the Halloween holiday season. Customers are welcome to stop by The Shadow’s Edge Haunted House in the parking lot while making a trip to Manghoulsen’s to shop for the perfect costume.
