The Fourth of July is just around the corner. Don't have anything planned for the holiday? Here are some ideas:

July 3: Red White and Boom — Yellow Smoke Park, 2237 Yellow Smoke Road, Denison

Fourth of July celebration with music, food and fun while you wait for the fireworks to begin at dark.

July 3: Clarinda A’s Fireworks — Clarinda A’s Baseball Field, 1000 S. Fourth St., Clarinda

July 3: Fireworks at Dusk – Logan, 1200 N. Second Ave.

The City of Logan will set off fireworks at dusk at the Logan Magnolia Community School.

July 3-7: Exira’s 154th Fourth of July Celebration — Exira

Parade, carnival, road run, softball tournament and more.

July 4: Kamala Harris BBQ — Council Bluffs

The BBQ will be held at the River's Edge Pavilion, 4250 River’s Edge Parkway, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Register online at mobilize.us/kamalaforia/event/99544/.

July 4: Independence Day Celebration — Oakland

The day’s events include a fireman’s breakfast, car show, parade, food vendors all day, live music and fireworks at dusk.

July 4: Avoca Fourth of July Parade — Main Street, Avoca

From 2 to 5 p.m., this year’s theme is: Pride in Our Past, Faith in Our Future. This is Avoca’s Sesquicentennial 150th Celebration Parade. The parade route will start and end at the fairgrounds. For more information, visit avoca150.com

July 4: Celebrate America Underwood Iowa July 4 – Downtown Underwood

Annual festivities include a parade, beer garden and fireworks. Events will be ongoing from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

July 4: Logan Parade – On Highway 30 traveling through Logan

The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and will travel through Logan.
