It may not be a big house way up in the west hills, but, hey, at least there’s tacos.

Everclear, the alt-rockers best known for their 1990s hits “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine” and “I Will Buy You a New Life,” will headline the second annual River’s Edge Taco Fest later this summer.

The fest will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 3 at Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park in Council Bluffs. All ages are welcome. Children 12 and younger get in free.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 the day of the show. Admission includes entrance to the festival and entertainment. Tacos and beverages cost extra. VIP packages, which include a taco bar, private bathrooms and front-row access to concerts are $100.

In addition to Everclear, the event will include music from June’s Got the Cash, a June and Johnny Cash tribute band, and Oye Como Ca, a Santana tribute. Other acts are the M80s and Emmett Bower Band.

This year’s festival will feature a cornhole tournament, produced in partnership with the American Cornhole Association. The top three teams will receive cash prizes. It is $100 to register.

The fest will also include lucha libre wrestling from Omaha-based Midwest Mexican Wrestling and Midwest Wrestling Alliance throughout the day. There will also be chihuahua races and a dog beauty pageant.

Last year’s Taco Fest featured headliner Sir Mix-a-Lot, known for his hit “Baby Got Back.”
