John Van Kampen is co-owner and operator of Scott Aerator Company. He has worked in sales, product development and marketing for the company for the last 13 years.
Van Kampen and his wife, Darlene, have been married for 34 years. Together, they have three adult children, a son-in-law, future daughter-in-law and a handsome 2-year-old grandson.
In his free time, Van Kampen enjoys collecting “Breweriana” and attending car shows. Classic and muscle cars have always been of interest.
“This is my second year attending the Wheels of Courage Car Show, my first as an exhibitor. I had such an enjoyable time last year, so I knew that I had to come back with a car,” said Van Kampen, who will be traveling all the way from Hudsonville, Michigan, with his 1968 Cadillac DeVille.
“My daughter, Katie, works at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, which has given me a much larger perspective of all of the assistance they provide to patients and families who need some additional support, and just how much the car show helps the cause.”
The fifth annual Wheels of Courage takes place at Quaker Steak and Lube on Saturday. Funds raised during the event will benefit the Jennie Edmundson Foundation Spirit of Courage Charitable Patient Care fund. This fund provides assistance to patients who need help covering expenses associated with diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
