Scott Petersen has been the Owner and President of S&L Sanitation Enterprises Inc. for 30 years. S&L Sanitation Enterprises has been a proud sponsor of Wheels of Courage for two years.
As a cancer survivor, Petersen appreciates the impact that Wheels of Courage has on the community and the patients the event supports.
“Last year was our first year in sponsorship and participation in the car show. I entered my 2014 Corvette Z51 and surprisingly won a second-place trophy,” Petersen said. “We are a family of car shows. My dad was a member of the ‘Good Guys’ and showed his 1939 Chevy Master Deluxe for years.”
Petersen and his wife, Jenny, have been together for 20 years. Together, they have three boys: Shelby, Tyler and Colton; and a daughter-in-law, Mallory. In his free time, Petersen enjoys driving around in his car and spending time with his family — which often includes breakfast dates with his granddaughter Autumn.
The fifth annual Wheels of Courage takes place at Quaker Steak and Lube on June 22. Funds raised during the event will benefit the Jennie Edmundson Foundation Spirit of Courage Charitable Patient Care fund. This fund provides assistance to patients who need help covering expenses associated with diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
