100th Birthday: Marjorie Hannah

Marjorie Hannah, of Council Bluffs, will celebrate her 100th birthday Sunday, March 24, 2019.

Born Marjorie Jane Millard in 1919; she married Donald Hannah in 1946. They were married over 50 years until his passing. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, Marjorie worked at the Iowa School for the Deaf for 14 years. She also worked for Farm Service and Edmundson Hosp. She retired from Abraham Lincoln High School.

Marjorie is a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a Brownie and a 4-H club leader (Katering Kanettes). Her interests have always been community service, friends and family.

She loved her cat, gardening, art and enjoys watching old movies.

Her daughter, Mary King (David), 2 grandchildren, Roger Groth and Anna DeVries (Cam) and 2 great-grandchildren, all of Grand Rapids, Iowa, will be celebrating with Marjorie. Cards may be sent to Bethany Lutheran Home, 7 Elliott Street, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.
