P.E.O. Chapter MF President Carol Terry presented Marilyn Paul with her 50-year pin on June 20 at the chapter’s social luncheon held on the patio at Tish’s. The group followed lunch with cake, poems and tributes. The regular monthly meeting was held on June 6 at the home of our newest member, Jane Goldsmith. Nancy White, the chapter’s delegate, reported on the Iowa State Convention. She told of being touched by the “emotional and heartfelt” stories of women whose lives have been so enhanced by the financial assistance from P.E.O. The next meeting will be July 11 at the home of hostess Jan Andersen. She and her husband, Jim, will give the program on their recent trip to Malaysia.

P.E.O. Chapter IQ

P.E.O. Chapter IQ met June 14 at St. John Lutheran Church. Becky Taylor and Cookie Johnson were hostesses. The group welcomed Barb Woods as a transfer to the chapter. Jan Story gave a report on the Iowa State Convention. The International Convention will be held in Des Moines Sept. 12-14. It is expected that up to 8,000 members will attend. Volunteers are needed to help. Reciprocity will have a bus available to attend on Sept. 12. Reservations should be made by July 31. The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. July 12 at Harmony Court.
