Large Group All-State Speech Festival nominees

The Iowa High School Speech Association has released the names of the entries nominated for the 2019 Large Group All-State Speech Festival.

All of the groups are being recognized as “outstanding,” and some will perform at the festival on Feb. 16 at C.Y. Stephens Auditorium at the Iowa State Center in Ames.

Those recognized from the local area include the following:

Readers Theatre-Performing:

AHSTW — “Troubleshooting”

Lewis Central — “The Brothers Very Dark and Grimm”

Readers Theatre-Non-performing:

Woodbine — “Ruffled Feathers”

Group Improvisation-Performing:

AHSTW — Cordes/Pattee

Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln – Gibson/Jensen

Short Film-Performing:

Glenwood — “Hall Pass”

Radio Broadcasting-Performing:

Lewis Central — “POMP”
