A Council Bluffs man was arrested Wednesday morning after authorities served a search warrant on his home, allegedly finding guns, ammunition, marijuana and THC wax.
The man, age 42, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony punishable by five years in prison if convicted.
According to court records, law enforcement learned in May the man was allegedly selling drugs and guns while possessing “freezer bags” full of marijuana in his home along with containers believed to be filled with THC wax.
The investigation revealed the man claimed to get his firearms from members of the Sons of Silence, a motorcycle gang.
On Wednesday, police executed the search warrant at 7:30 a.m. and detained the man without incident. In the residence, they found a 9mm handgun, a semi-automatic rifle, jars of THC concentrate, bags of marijuana, $593 in cash and various supplies for drug packaging.
Police said the man sells marijuana and guns from the home “because he is broke,” the report reads.
A total of 400 grams of marijuana was seized from the home.
