Scooter’s is now brewing more coffee and preparing more lattes in Council Bluffs.
The fourth Scooter’s location in town has just opened at 1738 Madison Ave.
“We’ve been really busy,” said Amy Smolen, store manager. “Our customers are excited that we’re here.”
The new building seats about three dozen and includes casual seating and free Wi-Fi.
It has already become a hit with Iowa Western Community College students, Smolen said.
“It’s a good place to study,” she said.
The drive-through is busy during the morning rush hour, she added, with plenty of parking to the east.
The current store joins two locations on West Broadway and a shop in the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce building.
“Council Bluffs has always been a strong market for Scooter’s Coffee, and this latest opening is further evidence of residents’ affinity for our brand,” said Rob Streett, president and chief operating officer of Scooter’s Coffee.
Traci Gabriel, Chandra Kipper and Linda Eckles will own and operate this location, he said. Eckles is one of the original cofounders of Scooter’s.
The location’s hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
