A vacant house fire kept the Council Bluffs Fire Department busy early Friday near 21st Street and Sixth Avenue.

Firefighters arrived at the residence at about 12:20 a.m. and battled flames on the front of the house near the porch until 2:30 a.m.

Council Bluffs Fire Department Assistant Chief Chris Sorensen said no one was home at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

As of Friday night, the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
