Traffic headed toward Old Lincoln Highway via Old Mormon Bridge Road in Crescent is backed up close to the Interstate 29 exits during rush hour Friday evening, April 26, 2019.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, crews are working on reconstructing culverts between Crescent and Honey Creek. Debris removal and shoulder repairs on the stretch of the interstate have been completed and all four lanes are scheduled to reopen in late May.

Interstate 29 to I-680 remains open to one lane of traffic in each direction, the IDOT reported. Shoulder paving is complete and long-term improvements are underway to protect against future flood damage.
