D. Gary Drake, age 80 years, passed away surrounded by his family on February 9, 2020.
Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his pride and joy and the greatest blessing of his life.
He was born in Council Bluffs, on July 11, 1939, to Durwood and Grace Drake. Gary graduated in 1957 from Abraham Lincoln High School. He was united in marriage to Patricia Burgess on April 19, 1958, and they enjoyed over 61 years of loving marriage. He worked for Iowa Power and Light, Mid American Energy for 37 years. Gary's hobbies included golf, traveling and spending many winters in Arizona. He will be remembered for always helping friends and family and his fun loving sense of humor.
His life will be celebrated by his devoted wife, Patricia; loving children; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Tim Olderog; son, David Drake; cherished grandsons, Ryan (Katie) Olderog and Tyler Olderog; very special great-grandson, Colton Olderog; special brother, Bill (Betty) Burgess; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held Thursday, at 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon all at Corpus Christi-Queen of Apostles Church. Family interment at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, Neb.
Caryl J. Moore, 89 years, of Crescent, Iowa, passed away at her home February 10, 2020.
She was born December 24, 1930, near Treynor, Iowa, to the late Harry and Jennie (Clark) Clausen.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite Hickman; and brother, Darrell Clausen.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Larry Moore; son, Erik Moore (Teresa); daughter, Candi House; five grandchildren, Nicholas Moore, (Lindsey Grant), Madison House, Dalton Moore, Taylor House and Kiley House; great-grandchildren, Ellie Dutcher, Siris and Athena Moore.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 2 p.m., in the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home. The family will direct the memorials.
Renetta R. Riley, age 67, of Bellevue, Neb., passed away January 11, 2020, at her home in Bellevue.
Renetta was born July 24, 1952, in Laramie, Wyo., to the late Paul E. and Maggie (Stith) Oder. She graduated from Pocatello, Idaho High School in 1971. Renetta was a cocktail waitress for various casinos in Las Vegas for 40 plus years. She was a member of Calvary Christian Church in Bellevue.
In addition to her parents, Renetta was preceded in death by her infant sister, Connie.
Renetta is survived by her son, David (Nicole) Ruby, of Boise, Idaho; 2 grandchildren, Carter and Mia; sister, Roma Jean (Troy) Backhuus, of Bellevue; brothers, Robert (Connie) Oder, of Grand Lake, Okla., Richard (Audrey) Oder, of Tulsa, Okla., Ray (Kim) Oder, of Crescent, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life party (casual, laid-back and informal), Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Calvary Christian Church, 10100 Cedar Island Road, Bellevue, NE. 68123, North Building called The Venue. The family will direct memorial contributions.
