Winifred Mary Seaman
Winifred Mary Seaman, was born, December 31, 1919, in Fairmount, N.D., to the late Elmer George and Edith Frances (Whitaker) Brummett. Wini attended Jamestown College in Jamestown N.D., where she met her future husband George, whom she married on August 31, 1939. After having 6 children, Wini enrolled in the Nursing program at IWCC and was a member of their first graduating class. She later received her Masters Degree in Counseling at UNO, and worked for many years at Mercy Hospital as a Psychiatric Nurse at McDermott. Wini was a long time active member at Epworth United Methodist Church and loved her many card clubs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George 1985; and brother, Merton Brummett 1992.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Linda) Seaman, of Spring, Texas, Kathleen Shaddy, of Pacific Junction, Iowa, Deborah (John) Lottinville, Jeffrey Seaman, all of Omaha, Neb., Mark Seaman, of Bloomington, Ind., Thomas Seaman, of Council Bluffs; daughter-in-law, Cindy Knott-Seaman, of Council Bluffs; brother, Frank (Jana) Brummett, of Lodi, Calif.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial service, Tuesday, 1 p.m., followed by a luncheon all at Epworth United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested to VODEC and/or Epworth Church.
