A fire in north downtown Omaha, which was reported about 3:25 p.m., involved 10 or more cars that were stacked up, a 911 dispatcher said.

Black smoke from a fire at a salvage yard at 902 Grace St. could be seen throughout downtown Omaha and Council Bluffs on Thursday afternoon.

There's no indication that the fire at Cooters Enterprises, a junk removal and hauling business, was intentionally set, the dispatcher said.

Firefighters expected to be at the scene for a while, the dispatcher said about 3:50 p.m.
