Underwood will mark its 66th annual Celebrate America celebration with a full day of events on Independence Day.

This year’s themes are: “Get your fix at the 66th,” and “Making Independence Day great again.”

Jim Andersen, treasurer of the Underwood Memorial Building Association Board, said the group has purchased $4,000 worth of fireworks that will mark the finale of the annual celebration.

Everyone is welcome, Andersen said.

Scheduled events include:

6:30 a.m. — Registration opens for Runderwood 5K; race begins at 7 a.m.

7 to 10 a.m. — Bloody Mary Recovery Tent at Beer Garden Pavilion

7 to 10 a.m. — Pancake breakfast; proceeds go to the Junior Post Prom Committee

10:30 a.m. — Parade begins featuring the Underwood High School band, businesses and area fire departments

Parade end to 3 p.m. — Silent auction in U.M.B.A. Hall, with proceeds to support the Underwood High School dance team

Parade end to 3 p.m. — Carnival on Main Street begins; proceeds benefit Underwood High School band, color guard and the Junior Optimist Club

Parade end to 6 p.m. — Bingo in U.M.B.A. Hall

11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Lunch and dinner at U.M.B.A. Hall

12 p.m. — Dodgeball registration; tournament begins at 1 p.m.; proceeds will benefit the Underwood High School soccer team

1 to 3 p.m. — Watermelon feed

4 p.m. — Bean bag toss tournament

7 to 10 p.m. — Live music at the Beer Garden Pavilion

10 p.m. — Fireworks display
