The Iowa High School Athletic Association on Tuesday released its postseason pairings for Class 3-A and 4-A baseball teams.

From Council Bluffs, Lewis Central earned the second seed in Substate 8 and will meet fifth-seeded Abraham Lincoln in a first-round substate game on July 19. In Substate 1, sixth-seeded Thomas Jefferson will open at top-seeded Urbandale.

After the three first-round games are completed, the highest remaining seed will receive a bye to the substate final, while the other two teams will meet each other.

Here are the first-round pairings in substates involving southwest Iowa schools:
