Lewis Central’s Logan Jones throws the discus. He won both that event and the shot put.

Logan Jones, a senior to be at Lewis Central who has committed to play football at Iowa, announced Wednesday on Twitter that he has received an invitation to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The game will be held at noon on January 4, with television coverage provided by NBC. It will be the 17th-annual game, and it matches the top players from across the country.

Some players who have competed in the game include Odell Beckham, Jr., Ezekiel Elliott, Andrew Luck, Adrian Peterson and Ndamukong Suh.

Jones is a three-sport athlete at Lewis Central, also competing in track and basketball. Last month, he won the Class 4-A shot put and discus at the state track meet.
