Bryan York won two individual events and swam on a winning relay team Thursday to lead Atlantic’s boys to a 99-49 dual-meet win over Council Bluffs at Kirn Middle School.

York won the 200- and 400-meter freestyle races and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay team.

C.B.’s lone winner was was freshman Tayden Blair in the 50 freestyle. He also took second in the 400 freestyle and swam on the second-place 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams.

STANTON –Drake Johnson scored 29 points to become Stanton’s all-time career scoring leader in the win.

The Class 1-A No. 6 Vikings blew the game open with a 33-point second quarter.

OAKLAND – MVAOCOU’s second-half defensive pressure helped the Rams pull away after a tight first half.

“They were a pretty scrappy team,” Riverside coach Taylor Schueman said.

Jadyn Achenbach’s 11 points led the Bulldogs.

St. Albert falls to Denison-Schleswig

DENISON – The Denison-Schleswig boys and girls teams swept St. Albert on Thursday.

The Monarch boys won 2,928 to 2,095. The Lady Monarchs won 2,274 to 1,589.

Denison-Schleswig’s Cory Miller had the high boys game at 265 and the high series at 434. He was one of four Monarchs who bowled a 400 series or better.

Nate Kay led St. Albert with a 180 game and a 333 series.

For the girls, the Lady Monarchs’ Cassidy Bradley rolled a 237 game and 419 series. For the Saintes, Peyton Carman had a 175 game and 293 series.

Logan-Magnolia splits two matches

BENNINGTON, Neb. – The Logan-Magnolia wrestling team beat Tekamah-Herman 66-12 but lost 43-36 to Bennington on Thursday.

Winners of two contested matches for Lo-Ma were Hagen Heistand at 113 (technical fall, pin), Brady Thompson at 120 (two pins) and Briar Reisz at 126 (two pins).

Riverside tops Tri-Center, Woodbine

Riverside’s wrestlers went 2-1 in quadrangular action Thursday, beating Tri-Center and Woodbine and falling to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center.

Kaiden Hendricks at 182 and Nolan Moore at 126 racked up three pins each for the Bulldogs, and Dylan McDonald pinned two opponents at 152.

Tri-Center beat Woodbine and lost to Adair-Casey. Brecken Freeberg at 152 won all three of his matches by pin, and Bryson Freeberg (160) and Connor Attkisson (120) had two pins each.

For Woodbine, 170-pounder Myles Barnum had two pins.
